Description
Flow, and abstract Japanese landscape painting, is based on the ornamental lake at Cowden Park, near Sterling, in Fife. The painting reflects the calmness I felt around it.
The painting is full of symbolism, combining those created by the Japanese garden architect herself, in the way she placed the stones in the water, and the bridges you walk across, to the sinuous curved lines travelling down the painting that are my expression of life’s journey, that also reflectthe well known raked gravel patterns synonymous with Japanese culture.
The painting is signed using a Chinese seal that spells my name, in the way I sign all my abstracts.
The abstract Japanese landscape, Flow was a self commission piece for a friend’s birthday. A commissioned artwork makes a unique gift for any special event be it a birthday, wedding, anniversary, or some other celebration. Why not contact me to discuss how I can create your own unique expression of love and friendship.
