Spurn Point is a three and a half mile curved spit of sand that curls into the Humber Estuary at the southernmost point of Yorkshire’s coast.
The North Sea side of the spit is festooned with serried rows of groynes trying and arrest the steady erosion of the land. This one particularly caught my attention with the offset vertical speaking of the power of nature to disrupt man’s best attempts at controlling it.
