At the start of the COVID lockdowns in 2020 I started watching YouTube golf content and I especially enjoyed the vlogs from various golf courses that had never come across my golfing radar. My bucket list has expanded dramatically!
The first vlog I watched was of Conwy golf club in North Wales. Such was its impact I just had to play it, which I managed to do with a friend last September.
We finished the round as twilight began to fall on a beautifully sunny, autumn day. This painting shows the moment we both approached this beautifully protected 15th green to putt for birdies.
Capturing the cavernous nature, and amazing purple and mauve coloured shadows of the bunkers to the right of the green, and the wonderful silhouetted hill in the background made this one of my favourite paintings to complete.
