The Old Course in St Andrews is a golf course, if not THE golf course that every golfer would like to play, as a way of paying homage to the game we all love.
The classic view of the course shows the tract of land that runs alongside the edge of the town, which contains both the opening and closing fairways, and the Royal and Ancient clubhouse sitting grandly in the background.
Other famous buildings surrounding the final fairway including two notable hotels: Rusacks, and the orangey-red coloured Hamilton Grand at the top of the course.
The iconic Swilcan Bridge is there too, allowing access over the burn from the last tee to the fairway.
This supremely detailed and accurate watercolour painting was originally commissioned by an American lady who came over to the 150th British Open Golf Championships with her husband, and who wanted a memory of their trip. Now you can own in in print form in a number of ways that suits every budget.
Fifteen, rare collectables in the form of Artists Proofs are being created. These will be printed at 76.5x57cm, which is the same size as the original painting.
There is a large, signed, limited edition of 200, fine art giclee print measuring 65x49cm.
Finally, there are two standard sized prints being created at 46x34cm. One is a signed, limited edition of 400, giclee print. The other is a signed, open edition, printed on a high quality white paper. Both the fine art prints, and the artists proofs use a 300gsm, acid free paper.
